I just returned from Nicaragua on Drew Estate’s Cigar Safari. Wow, what an incredible experience! Every part of the trip is first class and is certainly a tour you will want to see for yourself. I personally cannot wait to go again and I’ve only just returned home.
The trip begins when the tour bus arrives at the airport, filled with cigars and beer for a comfortable drive as we go to our first stop for lunch. The food, the view, and the hospitality were strong highlights from the very beginning and stayed strong throughout the trip. Pedro, who was born and raised in Nicaragua, was our knowledgeable and welcoming guide. One of the things I really appreciated is how the tour was organized, and in particular how it began. The first full day we didn’t visit a single factory or farm, instead the focus was on Nicaragua itself. The day was all about culture as we learned about the history of Nicaragua and the people who live here.
