La Palina was originally created by Samuel Paley, grandfather of William Paley Jr., over a century ago. When Samuel Paley named the line ‘”La Palina” it was in dedication to his wife, Goldie Drell Paley. He had started a cigar shop and factory named The Cigar Company, and La Palina was their first product. When Samuel retired the brand retired with him, that is until the revival of the name by William Paley Jr.
